The Balanda style could be worn in the traditional style as waistbeads, or as a long necklace. Named for the Balanda Bviri people who traditionally wear beads around the waist in this pretty, loosely woven style. Made from 20 strands of European glass beads.
This piece is crafted from aqua, brown and white beads and is 20” long from back to front (fitting a 36-38" waist). This piece is tied closed and would have to slipped over the head to be worn around the waist.
